Robotization in agriculture is increasingly becoming an essential prerequisite on the path toward modern, sustainable, and highly productive farming.
This process, present in both crop and livestock production, involves the automation and robotization of agricultural activities using modern equipment and devices, very often combined with artificial intelligence.
The objectives include increasing the speed of specific work operations, improving precision and efficiency, and reducing costs, alongside a significant reduction in the need for manual labour. With the continuous development of new sensors and algorithms, robotization in agriculture is becoming an increasingly important factor in production success and cost-effectiveness.
In Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, robotization in agriculture is taking its first pioneering steps. Early signs of this trend were seen in the implementation of assisted navigation in tractors for autonomous movement and task execution, as well as in the use of robotic systems for cow milking. Furthermore, “smart irrigation” systems are gaining popularity and are becoming increasingly common equipment in greenhouses.
It is also important to highlight the use of aerial drones, which are most commonly used for the application of crop protection products on production areas, as well as for field scanning, plant nutrition analysis, sowing of cereals and industrial crops, and similar applications.

The autonomous tool carrier is primarily intended for use in integrated and organic vegetable production, with its main function being the transport and operation of various working tools for soil cultivation and plant treatment.
